NFL Draft Prospect Trevor Lawrence comments on the Lil Nas X Satan Shoes, and his stock rises in my book
Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence just said what ever Christian in the country should have said.
The Satan Shoes released by Lil Nas X was trending all last night after many people began pumping it up all over Twitter.
Lil Nas X, the “Old Town Road” artist, is collaborating with the streetwear company MSCHF on a pair of “Satan Shoes,” only 666 pairs of which will be on sale Monday. The controversial kicks — apparently modified Nike Air Max 97s — are decorated with a pentagram pendant and a reference to Luke 10:18, a Bible verse about Satan’s fall from heaven. They’ll be sold for $1,018.
The sneakers also contain a drop of human blood in the sole, drawn from members of the MSCHF team
Lawrence went to social media to say a line has to be drawn somewhere and I completely agree with him. Our company is faith based and it seems awfully ironic that a Satan shoe has a Bible verse on it. I know the Bible verse is about Satan but at the end of the day it is still God’s word.
The shoes are hideous and a reminder that God is never wrong.
The first thing that comes to mind is Isaiah 5:20, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter..
Today in church we were reading Matthew 24, about the end times. I feel deep down inside we are getting close to the end times. The good thing is someone in the football world is talking about Jesus and at least defending him. I call that leadership!
