Waiver Claims are submitted by NOON; Here is the ORDER
The NFL began cuts yesterday and today is when all the waiver wire claims are collected and distributed. Many players that were released will find new homes, but do you know the waiver wire priority? Well this is the way it works.
These teams will have the first priority to claim a player that went through waivers. The player cannot have more than 3 years on an NFL roster otherwise he will be considered a vested veteran and does not need to clear waivers. He would automatically become a free agent. For example, Ryan Davis from the Jaguars is not eligible for waivers because he is a free agent. Any other players like Justin Hunter would go through the waiver wire. Which means the Browns would have the first dibs on him.
