Bill Belichick says Wes Welker’s block was cheap; does he not realize he spied on a team’s practice?
The typically tight-lipped Bill Belichick didn’t hold back Monday when asked about the performance ofDenver Broncos receiver Wes Welker.
Welker, the former Patriots pass-catcher, laid a vicious block on Aqib Talib in Sunday’s AFC title game that sent the New England corner back to the locker room and out of the contest for good.
“One of the worst plays I’ve seen,” Belichick said. “It was a deliberate play by the receiver to take out Aqib. No attempt to get open.”
I find it hard to take this statement serious, especially coming from a coach that cheated his way to a Super Bowl win. I mean Belichick has cheated and been caught, but now when a play that did not look that bad at all happens, he is calling them cheaters.
I am sorry, but this is just hard for me to swallow, suck it up Bill – You got Manning’d!!!
