Can Rolando McClain return to his 2011 form for the Cowboys?
The Dallas Cowboys acquired Rolando McClain from the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday, according to the league’s official transaction wire. The Ravens also included a seventh-round pick in the deal, and received a sixth-round pick for the trouble.
The Cowboys are desperate for help at inside linebacker after losing Sean Lee for the season, but we’d still consider McClain a long shot to wind up helping them. He’s hardly a lock to make the team, much less the starting lineup.
Back in 2011, Rolando McClain was a very solid linebacker for the Raiders. He finished the year with 95 tackles. He has since been in trouble off the field several times. The Cowboys are going to need him to come in and get his head out of his butt. If they can keep him in good shape and motivated the former 1st round pick could be a huge steal for the Boys.
