Adrian Peterson’s surgery was a success and he will be back in six weeks

Today Adrian Peterson the star running back for the Minnesota Vikings needed surgery on his groin, and it looks like the surgery was a success.

#Vikings announce Adrian Peterson’s surgery by Dr. Meyers “successfully repair(ed) his adductor muscle while doing compartmental release.”

The Official Statement from the Vikings read:

Adrian Peterson had surgery today with Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Meyers was able to successfully repair Adrian’s adductor muscle while also doing a compartmental release. Adrian is expected to make a full recovery in approximately 6 weeks.
