Johnson, Turner lift off at Rocket pro day | Toledo Pro Day was a success

Thirty-one of the NFL’s 32 teams all converged at Toledo’s annual pro day this week as Rocket prospects pursued their NFL Draft dreams.

Among the standouts were tight end Jamal Turner and inside linebacker Dyontae Johnson, who both played for Team Kai during the 2023 Hula Bowl last January.

According to a source on the Toledo staff, Johnson was said to have run a 4.69-4.74 40-time and Turner was somewhere between 4.72-4.79. NFL scouts use their own stopwatches and record their own times, so only a range can be given.

“They both looked really good at their position drills and Dyontae was the talk of the day with people holding him there for conversation for a long time thereafter,” the source said.

Other standouts included DesJuan Johnson who finished with a 30″ vertical and Nate Givhan, who jumped 10′ in the broad jump.
