What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
At the age of five years. My pops just signed me up to play in Danville, Illinois and since then I just fell in love with the game of football.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Just seeing my teammates happy winning games of course that’s the whole objective when you go out there to go play. And just getting to meet new people creating a brotherhood with different people at different levels.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I want to become the best athlete that I can become, and football also goes into life so to become the best man that I can become and the best teammate and also the best leader on the field and off.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
Peyton Manning, and the reason why I say that is just because the way that he studies film and breaks down defenses is very important to me because I’m a receiver and if I can have the same mindset as him and read the defense how he reads it, it would make the game a lot easier for me.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My little brother because he looks up to me and everything I’ve ever done when it came to football he’s always tried to mimic me so it just always pushed me to just keep going and be the best that
I can be to lead him in the right direction.
What is your favorite play?
I will have to say go, which is for verticals or if I have a post, I feel like I’m unstoppable in post routes.
What should we know about Adjaye Dandridge the person?
I’m honest, I’m dependable, I’m loyal to my team. Very respectable, very coachable and a hard worker no matter how hard it is or how long it is going to take, I’m going to make sure I do it.
What stands out about your film the most?
The way I can see the field, my field vision, so when I catch the ball I know where the defender is at, what gap I can possibly fit into and just my speed and jumping abilities as well. I feel like my jumping ability is one of my greatest strengths.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I feel like everyone has their highs and lows but I feel like I take adversity very well on the field and off the field. It’s life so things are going to come at you but at the end of the day you can’t put your head down. I’m a firm believer in God so.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Hardworking player, loyal player, coachable player, a player who will play any position you need me to play. I’ll do whatever you need me to do. I’m not a crybaby and I take adversity very well like I said.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
It would be to give God the glory. It’s a stage where there’s a lot of eyes on you so most definitely spread God on that platform. I always loved it since I was a kid making touchdowns or tackles. The third thing is just to be around new people and create new bonds and that’s a very important thing to me.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
I would have to say my quarterback Josh Kulka, he’s a phenomenal quarterback but I don’t feel like he got the respect that he deserved. He has laser focus on the field. He fits the ball into tight gaps. And a great leader like if he sees that I ran a route too far he’s going to tell me, “Hey Jay you’ve got to cut that down” and if he has to get the ball out faster. I just feel like he’s didn’t get the respect he deserved especially with the numbers that he put up.
