Rams OL Alaric Jackson Arrested on Suspicion of Felony Domestic Violence

Rams OL Alaric Jackson was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence after a reported altercation at his home.

Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson was arrested Monday night in Los Angeles on suspicion of felony domestic violence following an alleged altercation at his residence.

According to reports from NBC4 Los Angeles, police responded to Jackson’s home shortly after 11 p.m. after receiving a call regarding a domestic incident. Authorities allege that Jackson became involved in a dispute with a woman after believing she was recording him with her cellphone. He reportedly attempted to take the phone from her during the confrontation.

When officers arrived at the scene, they observed scratch marks on the woman’s arms. The case is being reviewed for possible felony charges. Under California law, the potential charge involves willfully inflicting physical injury that results in a traumatic condition on an intimate partner.

Jackson was taken into custody and spent nearly three hours in jail before being released Tuesday morning after posting a $50,000 bond.

The Rams acknowledged the situation in a statement.

“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously,” the team said. “Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”

This is not Jackson’s first off-field issue. The 27-year-old served a two-game suspension during the 2024 season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. That matter stemmed from allegations that he recorded a woman during a sexual encounter without her consent. A related lawsuit was filed in federal court in November 2024 and was later dismissed in April 2025.

Jackson has spent his entire NFL career with the Rams after entering the league as an undrafted free agent. He has become a key piece of Los Angeles’ offensive line, starting 19 games during the 2024 season, including postseason contests. After helping the franchise win a Super Bowl as a rookie, he eventually secured the starting left tackle role.

In February 2025, Jackson signed a three-year, $57 million contract extension with the Rams, reinforcing his importance to the team’s future plans.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing the case to determine whether formal charges will be filed.
