Former Texas WR Isaiah Bond Cleared of All Allegations, Signs with Cleveland Browns

Former University of Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond has been cleared of criminal charges by a Collin County grand jury. Bond was arrested in April on a sexual assault allegation after a woman claimed an encounter was non-consensual. The 21-year-old went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, with teams hesitant due to the pending case.
On Thursday, the Collin County District Attorney’s Office confirmed in a statement:
“After reviewing all the evidence presented, a Collin County grand jury returned a ‘no bill’ in the sexual assault charge involving Isaiah Bond, meaning no indictment will be issued. This concludes the criminal proceedings in this matter.”
Bond’s attorney, Toby Shook, said he was “gratified that Isaiah has been cleared by the grand jury.”
Following the decision, Bond signed with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent and released the following statement:
“First and foremost, I want to thank the Cleveland Browns for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to continue my NFL career. Football has been my passion since I was six years old, and playing at this level is a blessing I will never take for granted.
I know there have been questions about the recent allegations. I am grateful for the decision by prosecutors and the court not to pursue charges. From day one, I have refuted these allegations and maintained my innocence, and I stand by that today.
I want to thank Mr. Haslam and Mr. Berry of the Browns organization, my agent Damien Butler and the CMV Sports staff, my attorneys Toby Shook and Kristen Mohr, my trainer Ursula Heyner and the Sports Academy Frisco team, and my parents Penny and Edward Bond for their unwavering love and support.
My focus now is on football—learning the offense, building strong relationships with my teammates, and contributing both on the field and in the Cleveland community. I’m determined to prove the Browns right for putting their trust in me.”
We had the pleasure to talk with Bond the other day and he was in great spirits. We are excited he can finally put the allegations behind him and play ball.
