John IV White’s NFL Mock Draft 4.0
Here is my final mock draft and this time, I will be adding in some trades that I can see potentially happening on April 24th.
1. Tennessee Titans-Cam Ward-QB-Miami (FL)
There hasn’t been any major QB news in Nashville outside of the Titans signing Tim Boyle and Brandon Allen. Ward is the best quarterback of the draft, and the Titans are hoping that his playmaking ability will bring them success.
2. Cleveland Browns-Travis Hunter-WR/CB-Colorado
Signing Joe Flacco and trading for Kenny Pickett rules out the Browns taking a QB here at 2. Instead, they take the best athlete in the draft in Travis Hunter. Hunter can give the Browns a solid CB room with Denzel Ward and Greg Newsome, while giving the Browns a wide receiver to complement Jerry Jeudy.
3. New York Giants-Abdul Carter-EDGE-Penn State
Same thing as the Browns but with signing Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston, the Giants take the best player available in Carter. You can never have too many edge rushers and having Carter, Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux will give the Giants a solid pass rush.
4. New England Patriots-Will Campbell-OT-LSU
The Patriots have made a couple of good moves in free agency but they need to address the offensive line to protect Drake Maye. Will Campbell is one of the best offensive lineman in this draft, and can be a player who fits the culture that Mike Vrabel is building. He could slid inside to guard but will probably start at left tackle.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars-Mason Graham-DT-Michigan
There have been so many people who have mocked Mason Graham to the Jaguars. I am one of those people, and will still do it. Graham is a slippery defensive tackle who can improve the middle of the Jaguars defense.
6. Las Vegas Raiders-Ashton Jeanty-RB-Boise State
The resurgence of the running back position will help some running backs get drafted early. Pete Carroll loves running the ball, and Jeanty is the best running back in the draft. He is a true three-down back who can help improve the league’s worst rushing attack.
7. New York Jets-Tyler Warren-TE-Penn State
The Jets signed Justin Fields, and the Jets do not have a good tight end on the roster. Tyler Warren is one of the most versatile players in the draft, and he can become a safety blanket for Fields and the Jets.
8. Carolina Panthers-Jalon Walker-EDGE-Georgia
The Panthers have improved their defense with multiple free agency signings, and they still address it with drafting Jalon Walker. Walker’s versatility and pass rush will help the Panthers as they look to progress in Year 2 under Dave Canales.
9. New Orleans Saints-Armand Membou-OT-Missouri
Ryan Ramcyzk has retired, and Trevor Penning has not panned out since being drafted in 2022. The Saints don’t address QB here and instead address their offensive line. Membou is young but has twitchy hands and plays with an edge. He can help solidified the right side of the line, either at guard or tackle.
10. TRADE: Dallas Cowboys-Tetairoa McMillan-WR-Arizona
Cowboys trade No. 12 and 76 to Chicago for No. 10
The first trade of my mock draft. Dallas can address running back in the later rounds and instead give Dak Prescott another weapon. McMillan has great size for the position, and has deceptive speed. He can help take some pressure off CeeDee Lamb, and potentially gives the Cowboys a good WR2.
11. San Francisco 49ers–Shemar Stewart-EDGE-Texas A&M
Nick Bosa needs a running mate, and the 49ers need to get their defensive line back to disruptive. Stewart did not have the stats in college but his testing numbers are off the chart and can learn from the best defensive end in the NFL.
12. Chicago Bears-Kelvin Banks-OT-Texas
The Bears completely overhaul their offensive line to ensure that Caleb Williams is protected. Banks is one of the top offensive linemen in the draft, and has started 3 years on the left side.
13. Miami Dolphins-Will Johnson-CB-Michigan
The Dolphins have a couple of needs but Chris Grier has said they are potentially going to trade Jalen Ramsey. Will Johnson has been banged up since last season but is still one of the top defensive players in the draft.
14. Indianpolis Colts-Colston Loveland-TE-Michigan
The Colts are in Year 3 of the Anthony Richardson experiment but they need to add a tight end no matter who is throwing the football. Loveland can stretch the middle of the defense, and can become a focal point of Shane Steichen’s offense.
15. Trade: Pittsburgh Steelers-Shedeur Sanders-QB-Colorado
Pittsburgh trades No. 21, No. 123 and a 2026 3rd round pick to the Falcons for No. 15
The Steelers are either going to sign Aaron Rodgers or trade up for a quarterback. Since Rodgers has not been signed yet, they trade up with the Falcons and end the slide of Shedeur Sanders. Sanders shows toughness in the pocket, and can throw the ball in tough AFC North weather.
16. Arizona Cardinals-Jahdae Barron-CB-Texas
The Cardinals signed Josh Sweat and Dalvin Tomlinson but can use a cornerback to help Jonathan Gannon in Year 3. Barron’s versatility and physicality will give a good cornerback to add to the defense.
17. Cincinnati Bengals-Derrick Harmon-DT-Oregon
The Bengals add to their defense here after paying their guys on offense. The defensive tackle position is a big need for the Bengals, and Harmon is one of my favorite players in the draft. Harmon is disruptive, can be effective in the run and pass game, and has good size for the position.
18. Seattle Seahawks-Nick Emmanwori-S-South Carolina
The Seahawks have 4 Day 2 picks so they will probably address the offensive line position on that day. Emmanwori has a lot of versatility and has great physical traits. Mike Macdonald can develop Emmanwori into a safety like Kyle Hamilton.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Jihaad Campbell-LB-Alabama
Another pick that I have mocked multiple times. His explosiveness and speed are strengths of his, while his pass rush skills can give Todd Bowles multiple ways to use him. He also can get developed into being Lavonte David’s replacement.
20. Denver Broncos-Omarion Hampton-RB-North Carolina
The Broncos need to upgrade their running back room, and Hampton can give the Broncos a violent runner who gets extra yards and upside in the passing game.
21. Atlanta Falcons-Mike Green-EDGE-Marshall
The Falcons get an extra pick in this and next year’s draft from the Steelers and they still address their pass rush help. Green was the FBS sack leader last season, and showcases a high motor and ability to convert speed to power.
22. Los Angeles Chargers-Matthew Golden-WR-Texas
Even though Mike Williams is in stint two with the Chargers, they can use another weapon for Justin Herbert. Golden can stretch the field with his blazing speed, and his special teams skills will be a plus for the Chargers.
23. Green Bay Packers-Mykel Williams-EDGE-Georgia
The Packers improved on defense with Jeff Hafley as defensive coordinator but they need to address some positions. Even with taking Lukas Van Ness two years ago, they still add pass rushers with Williams. Williams has versatility and good length for the position, and should be 100% recovered from an ankle injury.
24. TRADE: Kansas City Chiefs-Josh Simmons-OT-Ohio State
Kansas City trades No. 31 and No. 95 to Minnesota for No. 24
The Chiefs need offensive line help, and the Vikings will want to get more picks. Simmons is coming off a knee injury but has some of the best tape for an offensive lineman. He can recover and be slotted at guard or play at tackle in case Jaylon Moore doesn’t pan out.
25. Houston Texans-Grey Zabel-IOL-North Dakota State
The Texans completely rebuild their offensive line this offseason, and they continue to do so here with Zabel. Zabel played left tackle at North Dakota State, and dominated inside during Senior Bowl practices. His versatility and toughness will be beneficial for CJ Stroud and Houston.
26. Los Angeles Rams-Maxwell Hairston-CB-Kentucky
The Rams have a terrorizing defensive line, but they need reinforcements in the secondary. Hairston has blazing speed, and great ball skills. He needs to improve in the run game, but his ball skills will be intriguing as the Rams go up against good wide receivers in their division.
27. Baltimore Ravens-Donovan Ezeiruaku-EDGE-Boston College
Kyle Van Noy had a great season but he is 34 and a team can’t have too many good edge rushers. Ezeiruaku has long arms and his pass rush skills will help the Ravens improve in the pass rush department.
28. Detroit Lions-James Pearce-EDGE-Tennessee
The Lions need someone who can complement Aidan Hutchinson. Pearce is explosive and quick speed for the position. Having him opposite Hutchinson will help the Lions, as they lost so many players on defense to injury.
29. Washington Commanders-Malaki Starks-S-Georgia
Jeremy Chinn is no longer with the Commanders and Dan Quinn loves versatile players on his defense. Starks didn’t have the best pre-draft process but is still a very good football player. Quinn will think of different ways to deploy him on defense.
30. Buffalo Bills-Walter Nolen-DL-Ole Miss
The Bills were looking at defensive line help during the trade deadline, and they add to it still with Walter Nolen. Nolen is twitchy and explosive on the defensive line, and can potentially help the Bills maximize their Super Bowl contending window.
31. TRADE: New Orleans Saints-Jaxson Dart-QB-Ole Miss
New Orleans trades No. 40, No. 93 and No. 184 to Minnesota for No. 31
With Derek Carr potentially sidelined this season, the Saints could turn to a developmental option like Jaxson Dart. While still needing to improve in multiple areas, Dart brings dual-threat upside and arm talent that could be maximized under Kellen Moore, who has a track record of developing mobile quarterbacks. Minnesota continues to stockpile draft capital for this year.
32. TRADE: Tennessee Titans-Emeka Egbuka-WR-Ohio State
Tennessee trades No. 35 and No. 103 to Philadelphia for No. 32
Tennessee starts the first round and ends the first round. The Titans need some help at wide receiver, and it’s always beneficial to pair a rookie wide receiver with a rookie quarterback (Cam Ward). Egbuka is a smooth route runner, and has been one of the more consistent wide receivers in college football the past couple of seasons.
