Five Bold Predictions for the 2025 NFL Draft from Draft Diamonds Owner’s Latest Mock Draft

The NFL Draft is just days away and it will be an exciting one. Many scouts I have talked to feel there are not too many stars in this draft class. I had one team tell me they did not feel there were more than 12 prospects with a first round grade. That was a bit interesting, because many do not feel there will be a lot of trade ups, but that could be wrong.

I wanted to share my second Mock Draft of the year, and figured I would throw out my bold predictions as well! Might as well die on his hill.

I think there will be five moves that will definitely shock some people, so let’s talk about those moves below!

1.) New England Patriots select Will Campbell with the fourth pick. You need to protect your franchise quarterback and Campbell fits the Patriots model. The Patriots get a pissed off player who will come in day one and dominate.

2.) Jacksonville Jaguars shock everyone when they draft Ashton Jeanty with the fifth pick. The Jaguars have been linked to Mason Graham by damn near everyone, but Jeanty is a special player. He is one of the most can’t miss players in the draft. I think taking him at 5 in front of the Raiders is smart. Jaguars need to get Trevor Lawrence some help and they do that with Jeanty.

3.) Pittsburgh Steelers trade up to pick at and select Shedeur Sanders. Yep, the Carolina Panthers trade back with the Steelers and the Steelers get Shedeur in front of the Saints. The Saints like Shedeur but this allows the Saints to be flexible with their first pick. The Steelers find a replacement for Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

4.) Las Vegas Raiders trade back into Round 1 to select RB TreVeyon Henderson after missing out on Ashton Jeanty. Omarion Hampton is also selected and the Raiders want to make sure they get their guy after getting shocked by the Jaguars in round 1.

5.) Cleveland Browns trade back into Round 1 to draft a Quarterback. After Saints selected Jaxson Dart, the Browns did not want to miss their guy. So they make a trade with the Bills to move up a few spots and swap picks in 2025. Browns select Tyler Shough over Jalen Milroe making him the fourth quarterback selected in the first round.
