Pittmans Pocket: HBCU Alumni continue to make plays in the NFL Pre-season

Former HBCU players continued to make their mark during Week 2 of the NFL preseason, showcasing their talents and earning attention for their performances.
- Ian Wheeler (Howard, Bears): The running back had a standout performance, carrying the ball 19 times for 80 yards and scoring two touchdowns.
- Brandon Codrington (NCCU, Bills): Despite limited opportunities in the backfield, Codrington showed his toughness and resilience on the field.
- Chris Blair (Alcorn State, Falcons): Blair was a big-play threat, hauling in 3 receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown, making an impact as a key playmaker.
- Carson Vinson (Ravens): Vinson continued to gain attention for his steady improvement in blocking, a crucial skill for his role.
- James Houston IV & Markquese Bell (Cowboys): Both players stepped up in reserve roles, showcasing their abilities and contributing to the team’s depth.
- Aaron Smith (SC State, Jets): Smith made a reliable impact, delivering a solid tackle against the Giants and demonstrating his consistency.
- Joshua Williams (Chiefs): Williams contributed well in the Chiefs’ game against Seattle, adding value to the team’s overall performance.
