Player Summary:
Very undersized nickel corner with adequate height and poor weight who possesses high cut legs with a toned frame overall alongside lengthy arms for frame, but very undersized to NFL standard. Good athletic ability with very good fluidity, COD and balance, good foot speed, acceleration and lateral agility. Good as underneath zone defender from off alignments, using good pedal posture while possessing solid eye discipline and good processing to pick up and pass off routes entering assignment using very good fluidity and good lateral agility. Very seldom asked to execute jam techniques at LOS while possessing solid ability in press alignment, relying on good lateral agility to maintain leverage in man scenarios. Good in man coverage using solid processing of leverage and good lateral agility to match release at LOS before opening hips with very good fluidity and using good foot speed and acceleration to run with most receivers. Adequate physicality within route, losing leverage within stem and coming out of breaks due to marginal play strength and size concerns. Very good ball skills with back to ball, possessing good feel of receiver leverage with very good ball tracking skills which he combines with very good fluidity and solid physicality at catch point to break up. Good ball skills facing QB using very good ball tracking skills combined with good downhill transition quickness, allowing for good anticipation when coming downhill to catch or break up passes with solid hand placement and physicality at catch point. Poor tackler stemming from marginal willingness to tackle larger ball carriers while possessing poor tackling form and poor tackling strength when coming downhill, taking marginal angles towards ball carriers and breaking down flat footed, making him susceptible to juke moves in tight areas.
Scheme Fit:
Nickel corner in sub-personnel system with elite run defending linebackers.
Power Statement:
Nickel corner who meets NFL standards athletically but will be very limited due to size and tackling ability at the next level.
