Commanders fire their VP of Content after VIDEO shows him making derogatory remarks about fans/players
Washington Commanders’ vice president of content, Rael Enteen, just found out that sometimes it’s not just the internet watching—it’s hidden cameras too. Enteen was fired just a day after he got suspended when a sneaky video caught him throwing shade at pretty much everyone: players, fans, and the entire league. Turns out, his “hot takes” were a little too hot for his own good.
Enteen thought he was out on a date—probably expecting some casual dinner conversation and maybe dessert—but instead, he was getting a starring role in an O’Keefe Media sting operation. They’re famous for using hidden cameras to create embarrassing content, and boy, did Enteen give them a show.
In the video, Enteen didn’t hold back, calling players “homophobic” and “dumb as all hell,” labeling fans as “high-school-educated alcoholics,” and tossing in a few digs at Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for good measure. It’s like he was playing a game of “How to Offend Everyone in 60 Seconds.”
In the video, which is heavily edited and often cuts out portions of what Enteen is saying, the Commanders VP also said his job is to “sell hope” to a fan base that historically has not had much.
“We have had pipes leaking sewage on our fans in the middle of a game, and I have to put out a social post saying like ‘it wasn’t sewage water, we promise,” Enteen can be heard saying. “That is state-run media.”
Enteen also takes aim at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, calling him “a puppet,” and offered opinions on Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who Enteen said “really does run the NFL.”
“I think he hates gay people and black people,” Enteen said of Jones.
Initially, the Commanders suspended Enteen, stating, “The language used in the video runs counter to our values at the Commanders organization. We have suspended the employee pending an internal investigation and will reserve further comment at this time.” Well, after that investigation, it looks like the only thing they’re reserving now is a permanent seat on the unemployment bench for Enteen.
