Oklahoma football coach arrested for involvement in a drug ring
Pearlie Graves a high school football coach was arrested on Thursday for allegedly selling cocaine and being involved in a drug ring.
Graves who coached at Broken Arrow High School in Oklahoma was busted with cocaine, scales, and guns when police searched his house.
Graves was working with another man named Deandre Bullard who called Graves from the county jail and told him to stop all sales. Police then searched Facebook messages to find messages between Bullard and Graves.
That ultimately led to the search of Graves’ house. Graves was a former standout football player at Texas Tech before taking a coaching job at Broken Arrow.
Broken Arrow schools say Graves’ employment status will depend on the outcome of the investigation.
Graves pleaded not guilty in court on Friday. His bond was set at $10,000, but his public defender has filed a motion to reduce that bond amount.
