Former NFL superstar Jacoby Jones died from hypertensive cardiovascular disease
According to a report from the Orleans Parish coroner in New Orleans, the death of Jacoby Jones the superstar return man formerly of the Baltimore Ravens was discovered to be from hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
Hypertensive cardiovascular disease refers to a range of heart and blood vessel conditions that are primarily caused by chronic high blood pressure (hypertension). When blood pressure remains high over time, it can cause damage to the arteries, heart, and other organs. This condition is a significant risk factor for various serious health problems.
Jones died in New Orleans East on July 14. He played for the Baltimore Ravens and was a pivotal part of getting the team a Superbowl victory.
Jones, 40, was drafted in 2007 by the Houston Texans, where he played for four years before coming to the Ravens from 2012-14, playing in the Pro Bowl in 2012.
