2025 NFL Draft Prospect Interview: Jeremiah Wood, CB, Ohio

Bryan Ault one of the senior scouts here at NFL Draft Diamonds recently sat down with Ohio cornerback Jeremiah Wood. Check out this exclusive interview with the star cornerback.

Who is the NFL player you compare yourself the most to? Why is that?

I don’t really compare myself to one player, and I try to take from multiple different players. But some players that I like to watch that have similarities to my game are Jamal Adams, Derwin James and more. They’re considered bigger safeties and are versatile and can move to different positions on the field. =

What aspects of playing in the NFL do you find to be intriguing?

It’s always been a dream of mine since I have started playing football. Being able to play and compete at the highest level and with the best of the best.

In what ways have you improved since last season?

I’ve worked more on my technique and being more efficient out of breaks etc. (no wasted steps). Also, I have been learning what everyone’s jobs are so I can understand where my help is, or why we play a a certain way on our calls.

What is your favorite memory so far as a college football player?

I would say playing in our Myrtle Beach bowl game this past season. I wasn’t able to play in the others bowl games since I have been here, so being able to play and be a big contributor and make some plays in the bowl game was a special moment for sure.

What is the most important thing you would like NFL scouts, coaches and general managers to know about you?

I would like everyone to know that you are going to get my best from me everyday. I’m going to put in the work/time to be the best. And that I’m a team player that’s willing to do whatever it is to help the team.
