Not One HBCU football player was selected in the UFL Draft

In the 2024 NFL Draft, no prospects from a Historically Black College or University heard their name called, and that trend continued with the UFL Draft.
Everyone thought there would be a much bigger presence in the United Football League, which held their UFL Draft yesterday, but that was not the case.
There was not one HBCU football player drafted in the 10 round UFL Draft.
There have been two times in the NFL Draft this has happened in the past four years. It happened this year as well as 2021.
The overall lack of HBCU draftees in recent years prompted the creation of initiatives such as the creation of the HBCU Legacy Bowl (2021) – sponsored by the Black College Hall of Fame – for draft-eligible prospects and the NFL-backed HBCU Combine (2022). Even the XFL had a showcase at Clark Atlanta back in 2023 for HBCU football players.
Why are these players not getting any shots? It is definitely mind blowing.
