What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
It was therapy for me at a early age and competing.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
Winning three state championships, signing for college, and starting my first college game.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My mama, she has worked so much in her life and sacrificed for me just be where I’m at, also my brothers because I’m their role model and I want to do so much for them, so they don’t have to go through what I had to go through.
What are you looking forward to in your upcoming season?
Winning our conference, winning FCS championship, just winning with my team and for me having an All-American season with hopefully some awards.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Ed Reed or Sean Taylor, that’s who my game reminds me of closest. Ed Reed’s IQ on the field is what I love the most and what I try to do the most now and learning from him would take my game even higher.
What are your favorite things about playing football for North Alabama?
Closer to home where my family and friends can come watch me play.
What should we know about Edwin White-Schultz the person?
Your going to always smile and have fun around me, never really a dull moment, always got my family and friends backs. I get competitive in other stuff outside of football as well and I like to dress up.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
4-3-4, I feel like it’s the most ran scheme because of today’s game and teams being air raid bringing and extra defensive back is always exciting and also it’s easy to learn from in the playbook.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
Do what any other football player would do, take a step back breathe, analyze the problem, and find a solution and keep going until it doesn’t work anymore.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Smart, athletic, aggressive dawg.
What stands out about your film the most?
I’m not scared of contact.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
OJ Burroughs at Kansas , I learned a lot from him and just how patient he is and how he’s a ball hawk.
