Did Mike McDaniel lie about the Tua Tagovailoa concussion? He definitely changed his story
Have the Miami Dolphins waited too long to pay Tua Tagovailoa?

Last week, the Jacksonville Jaguars paid Trevor Lawrence a ridiculous contract worth 275 million dollars including 200 million guaranteed.

To simplify the contract, he will make 55 million a season which is tied with Joe Burrow for the most in the NFL. The deal is great for Trevor Lawrence, but I am not sure it is great for the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins have not signed their young gunslinger and he has to be up next when it comes to quarterback contracts. This looks to be a major mistake.

While many will say Tua is not as good as Trevor Lawrence, I would like to disagree.

When you look at the numbers between Trevor and Tua, you will find out that Tua has put up better stats in every category when it comes to throwing the football. When it comes to running he is not as good, but as a passer he is a better prospect than Lawrence, and I would be willing to bet his agent would use this graphic as well in negotiations.

With that being said, if I am Tua’s agent I am asking for 56 million a year off the rip. I want to be the highest paid quarterback, because that is the floor. While the Dolphins could use the franchise tag or transition tag, that is not a long term deal. The tags do nothing but usually piss the player off too. Why would you use that tag when you can sign him long term.

The Dolphins may have waited a long time to sign their quarterback, but they should have pulled the trigger soon. If Dak Prescott or Jordan Love end up getting paid first, watch out, Tua could end up costing around 60 million a year, which is insane. Especially when Josh Allen is making 43 million a year, and Patrick Mahomes is making 45 million.

The money is going to keep going up, you better get the bargain before the bargain gets you.
