Coaching legend Lou Holtz rips transgenders in sports
Lou Holtz is a man of faith and a legendary coach. The former Notre Dame head coach took his side on transgenders in sports, and he is getting criticized online for it.
Holtz, a legendary Notre Dame head coach, is trending on social media for his comments on Sunday afternoon.
“I was happy when Title IX came out. But here we are, many years later, and now we can’t even ensure women competing against women. It’s crazy!” he wrote.
Title IX was originally published on June 23, 1972, and was a law that prohibits sex-based discrimination in schools and other education programs that receive funding from the federal government.
It states, “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance,” Title IX stated.
The President of the United States Joe Biden unveiled new Title IV rules to safeguard LGBTQ+ students. Several online are crushing Holtz for his taker while others support his comments.
