UAB football player has been charged with first-degree robbery
T.J. Jones the former Penn State wide receiver from Lake City, Florida was arrested in Jefferson County Jail for first-degree robbery.
According to the Jefferson County website, it only states that he is in jail for first-degree robbery.
Latorrence (T.J.) Jones had 15 catches for 222 yards and two touchdowns last year for UAB.
UAB Football released this statement:
“UAB is aware of the arrest and takes matters of this nature seriously. Given the ongoing nature of the police investigation and student privacy laws, we cannot comment further at this time.” Paul McCaw, Director of Athletic Communications
Remember everyone is innocent until proven guilty, but this is disturbing because Jones is a leader on the football team.
