Former Colorado Football Player says Deion Sanders forced them to attend a Lil Wayne concert to support Shedeur’s rap career

I am not sure what to believe anymore when it comes to Colorado football. There have been so many rumors coming out of the Boulder about how Coach Prime runs things, but this one is crazy.

According to Athlon Sports, the Colorado Buffaloes had a huge weekend for the Spring Game at the end of April in 2024. It was a star-studded affair which included a concert with five-time Grammy Award winner Lil Wayne at CU Events Center. According to CU player sources, Sanders made the concert mandatory for all his players and reportedly threatened to dismiss anyone who skipped out.

“The Wayne concert was the final straw for a few players who hit the transfer portal,” a source said. “When Coach Prime told us we all had to be there to support Shedeur as a rapper, they were not happy at all. To be honest, it was nothing but a huge distraction and Daddy Ball was being played.”

Shedeur Sanders was part of the opening act lineup before Lil Wayne took the stage. He debuted his new single “Perfect Timing” in front of the over-capacity crowd in Boulder.

I am sorry, but mandatory? I mean, they should support their teammate, but saying a player will be cut because they do not attend is a little wild. Over 30 players entered the transfer portal this year alone, and this is the first time a player said this. I would love to know more about these events.

Deion denied the claims:

I am not sure if this is going to hurt Shedeur Sanders or not, but maybe playing for your dad is not the best option.
