It is a slow work day and I watched a video I thought it would be viral. As a huge football fan, and with the Draft just a couple of weeks away, I figured it would be fun to write a scouting report on the police officer who tackled a pig on the run.

Yes, a pig on the run! According to KSL 5 TV, this pig avoided the police for two days and went rogue. He was finally caught by the officer below, and while the officer got the job done, he struggled with his technique.

Strengths:

  • The Officer possessed exceptional tackling abilities. His technique is sound, and he demonstrated the ability to wrap up and bring down the pig effectively. After two days on the run, this officer can be relied upon to make crucial stops.
  • Despite lacking mobility, Officer X compensates with impressive strength and power. He excelled in disrupting the pigs escape.
  • Officer X had a high football IQ, which allowed him to compensate for his lack of mobility. He anticipated the movements despite struggling to get him to the ground.
  • While his mobility may limit his range, Officer X can be deployed effectively in various schemes.

Weaknesses:

  • Officer X struggles with mobility, which can be a significant liability, especially in today’s fast-paced game. He lacks agility and quickness off the snap, making it challenging for him to pursue ball carriers laterally or track down elusive pigs.
  • Due to his limited mobility, Officer X struggled to generate a consistent rush. He lacks the burst and agility to beat the pig to the outside.
  • Given his physical limitations, Officer X may experience issues with stamina throughout a chase. He may tire more quickly than other officers, impacting his effectiveness as the pig chasing continues.
  • Opposing offenses may exploit Officer X’s lack of mobility by employing misdirection plays or screens designed to pull him out of position. His slow reaction time to changing plays can leave him susceptible to being manipulated by crafty pigs.

Overall, he caught the pig, but it was not pretty. He was almost shook by a Porkchop with six-inch legs and a big tummy.
