Pittman’s Pocket: Hampton University football signed a Stud
With a new head coach at Hampton University, Coach Trenton C. Boykin has secured another key recruit in Damaurius Stewart from the College of DuPage.
Stewart, a two-time All-Conference player with an offer from Central Michigan, has opted to bring his talents to Hampton, Virginia. Standing at 6’3″ and weighing 310 lbs, Stewart is noted for his agile footwork and adeptness in both running and blocking schemes.
His strong, aggressive play style and commitment caught Coach Boykin’s eye, leading Stewart to choose Hampton after graduating this spring from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
“We’re incredibly proud of our HBCU Diamonds. Congratulations, Damaurius, and get ready to compete this fall.”
