What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

I decided to play football my senior year of high school when I realized I couldn’t graduate without an athletic credit and all my friends were on the team. One thing led to another and ended up falling in love with punting and all the struggles that come with it. I ultimately decided I wanted to try and pursue it at the next level and it ended up working out.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

One of my favorite moments from my football career is when I played the University of Virginia back in 2020. It was awesome experience to play an opponent like that and be able to experience what a P5 football game was like from an athletes perspective. It was also my first game I played that was televised on ESPN.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I’m hoping to go through this draft process and hopefully sign a UDFA after the draft or get some rookie mini camps invites if the lords willing. From there have a chance to compete and fight for a starting job in the NFL. There’s only 32 jobs in the world and all 32 guys are great punters so it’s quite the challenge, but I truly believe I can play at the professional level.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

If I had to choose a football player to hang out with it would have to be Pat McAfee. Dudes a dawg and was a great punter. Definitely someone I would love to pick their brain about the NFL and what was it like walking away from the game he loved when he initially retired.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

The person who inspires me the most would have to be my mom. Being born and raised in a single parent household was tough, but my mom still got her degree and worked her butt off for me to be able to be where I’m at today. Something I could never take for granted and inspires me to really go after my dreams.

What is your typical training routine?

Right now I currently work at a Material Distribution center and am working from 7am-4pm everyday. After work I will go workout at APEC here in DFW. Luckily because of the facilities connection with the local high school I’m able to get lights on at night and typically punt late at night. It’s been a grind, but that’s been my workout schedule for the last few months.

What should we know about Logan Burke the person?

One thing I would say is out of the punters. I’m probably the hardest working punter out there. Not too many guys balance work while preparing for the NFL draft and still produce results when going to combines/bowl games like Zauners, Kohls Pro Showcase, FCS Bowl, and the Tropical Bowl. It shows my work ethic and my mental maturity to balance all these things and still preform at a high level.

What stands out about your film the most?

I would have to say my hang times and my pin punts. Although I only had 23 punts this last season I put 15 of those punts inside the 20 (65%). While having a net average of 42.3yds.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I’ve faced adversity my entire football career and I’ve just showed time after time again that nothing will get me down and I’ll just comeback better. Not playing in high school to starting for a D1 and being an All American doesn’t just happen overnight. When scouts evaluate my film I think they’ll see my progression from when I first started playing till now. I trust God and follow the plan he has already written. No reason to be stressed with on the field or off the field issues.

What would a team get in a player like you?

They would get a guy that’s the first in the building and the last to leave. Always committed to my craft and willing to put in the time and effort it takes to make myself better. I think I can preform at a high level, but I don’t think I’m anywhere near my ceiling.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Honestly I love football, because of the different type of people it has brought into my life. Throughout my career I’ve been surrounded by great men with crazy stories on how they got to this point in their career and became close with both teammates and coaches that I would’ve never have met if it wasn’t for football. So I’m forever grateful for that.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I’ve ever played with has to be Blair Zepeda. Although he didn’t get to hit field goals at A&M this year. He has one of the biggest legs in college football and has a great work ethic both on the field and in the weight room. Was a guy who really pushed me to be better while I was at Abilene Christian.
