What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

When I did end up playing and I was good at it. I just wanted to be a football player and my mom said I always wanted to be a professional.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

At NC State when we beat Clemson in 2021.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Just to have a stable home with an NFL team and show them I am a competitor and play on special teams and I can work my way into the team.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

DeAndre Hopkins, he is one of my favorite players and I’ve always looked up to him. I would love to ask him about getting into the NFL and get some tips from him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mother, she raised me on her own and I’ve seen her go through a lot of adversity and she was able to get through it and that inspired me.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

I feel I can play any scheme and I don’t really have a favorite one.

What should we know about Devin Carter the person?

I’m a really caring person, love to make people laugh and help people if I can and I’m a chill guy and a hard worker and a very religious person.

What stands out about your film the most?

How well I move for my size and my physicality in the blocking game. My special teams play and I’m excited to do that for an NFL team.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

First I pray about it and if it’s a problem I can fix I will attack it and if I can’t fix it then I will pray about it. I feel I know how to adapt to challenges and can keep pushing.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A leader that is hungry and willing to do anything to help the team win.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Either the brotherhood that comes with it or from enjoying the game and having fun and that I love everything that comes with it as well.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Emeka Emezie, he was probably one of the hardest workers and he was a humble guy and his pro career didn’t end up like he would’ve liked it to.

Writer’s notes:

(Devin has the third longest wingspan of any WR in the draft.)

(Devin was also NOT 100% healthy when he at the Hula Bowl.)
