What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

My family  has a long history of playing great football in Detroit, so I think naturally it had my attention. Growing up, I used to watch my older brother play the game, and from then on it had my focus.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

Winning Championships in both Youth Football and High School Football were some of the best moments in my football life. Recently though, I pride myself in helping bring Kansas Football back to life over the past three years. Those three years brought me some of my most cherished memories.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

Not only do I want to dominate on the field, but I want the opportunity to be a leader on my team. Beyond football, I want to create a platform to help youth from similar areas and environments I grew up in. My goal is to give encouragement and guidance to young children to empower them with the necessary resources to rise above the constraints of their communities and discover ways to change the world.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

I’d choose Ray Lewis. His playing style, his perspective of the game, and the way he attacks every aspect of life, both on and off the field, are all principles I strive to live by every day. Like Ray, I aim to push everyone around me to tap into their potential and become the best versions of themselves.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My cousin Sean, who plays CB for the Tennessee Titans, inspires me the most. We came from the same environment and was able to succeed in a way that I hope to one day. Seeing him meet his goals keeps me motivated to meet mine as well.

What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?

Recently, I have played in both 4-3 and 4-2-5 defenses. However, I have no favorite defensive schemes. I learn, adapt, and excel in any defense to near perfection.

What should we know about Rich Miller the person?

I love to compete, but I aim to make people around me better. I can take charge of those who may resist leadership, but I can also follow if it is in the best interest of my team. I am a team player and a servant leader, finding joy in uplifting those around me. I love making jokes and creating good experiences.

What stands out about your film the most?

I am rarely out of position and I can make any tackle on the field. I understand route concepts and I also do well in pass coverage.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

I choose to control what I can control and make the best out of that in order to make my situation better. I always make sure my response to any event makes the outcome better.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A flat-out football player and leader who will do whatever it takes to help the team win.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

I love how football forces you to face adversity and teaches you how to overcome it. The process it takes to become better at your craft, the competition, and the knowledge and insights gained from people with different backgrounds are all reasons why I love the game.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

Kwinton Lassiter. Not only is he a great athlete, but he is a great person. His work ethic is unmatched, and he puts in the most effort that I’ve seen from anyone. When its time to get to work, he gets locked in, on time and prepared to produce.
