Player Summary:

4th Yr. Sr. DT lines up anywhere from a 0T to 3T in FLUN 4-2-5 scheme and DL rotation. Played 2020-2022 at TNMS. Projects as an NFL DT. Rare sized DL with above-average height, arm length, and elite weight. Frame is composed of very good, thick, long, muscular upper and lower limbs and an excessively fatty midsection/upper half that can be trimmed down. AA is impressive and good for an individual of his stature including above-average explosive power, solid initial burst, sufficient lateral agility and play speed. Gets off ball with sufficient initial quickness, snap anticipation, and average pad level given very good size and ordinary flexibility. Average pass rusher. Fires off the ball well. Does a quality job pushing the pocket into the QBs lap by utilizing above-average size, good brute strength and length to overpower ordinary size/strength  IOL at POA. UOH to disengage as a pass rusher is average as he runs through IOL more so than trying to shimmy or shuck. Good run defender who automatically has the size to eat space well on presence alone. Uses quality length and size to stone average size/strength OC and OG in good fashion at POA. Following initial contact shows good upper body strength/explosiveness, grip strength, and utilization of length to create space and lock out ordinary size/strength IOL. Does a solid job of keeping head up post initial contact to survey RB in backfield with average speed and quickness. Recognizes flow well and stays in front of it with solid anticipation and awareness. Utilizes size efficiently to anchor down and resist getting washed out on stretch plays. Shucks average size strength OL with good violent hands, strength, and aggression. Tackling ability and ability to close is solid as he utilizes massive frame well to engulf ball carriers with average size and speed at  LOS. Needs to get in better shape to build up marginal stamina and reliability on longer drives. Despite eye popping undeniable physical and athletic attributes for a man of his stature, he gasses out and gets sloppy with pad level, effort, and overall ability to sustain involvement in plays. If he can’t stay on the field his gifts can’t be utilized.

Scheme Fit:

3-4 or 4-3 DT.

Power Statement:

Rare sized DT who utilizes good violent nature, UOH, and above-average explosive power to manhandle opposing OL and make a good impact as a run defender and sufficient impact as a pass defender. Needs to improve pass rush UOH and marginal stamina to stay on the field to utilize the full extent of his gifts.
