What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

Playing football was a great opportunity to help take care of my family. Football helped me further my education. I also saw how helpful football players can be to children from lower socioeconomic communities. Football allowed me to be a role model to all the kids from my community.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

My most memorable moment in football would have to be this past season. I finally made it to the playoffs, after 3 long years of heartbreaking losses.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I am just looking for an opportunity to show that I can compete with the best of the best mentally and physically. It doesn’t matter to me what league all I want is an opportunity.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?

Most definitely Jason Kelce. He’s in my option the best center to ever play the game. he’s the ultimate underdog his story is second to none. I watch Jason Kelce’s film on a regular basis and I feel like meeting him would allow me to learn so much from him.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My mom. Yeah most definitely my mom, she raised 3 kids all by herself and all three went to college. She does things for everyone regardless of any relationship. She’s definitely my superhero.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

A read option offensive/spread. In these offenses, there are a ton of run game schemes and screens. I love pulling and getting out in open spaces. I personally feel like I would flourish in this type of offense.

What should we know about Ludner Mercy the person?

That I take pride in being a man of my word and value above anything my leadership to my peers.

What stands out about your film the most?

That I am extremely athletic and have no issues pulling and or getting to the second level. While also seeing that I can finish guys no matter the size.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Football has taught me that adversity will come and how you handle it will determine what type of man you are. I look adversity right in the face and deal with it in a positive manner. No matter how hard a challenge may seem I will never quit.

What would a team get in a player like you?

A leader that has no problem doing the grunt work and working his way up. While also getting a player who has a high football IQ can help make those around him better.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

The battle and preparation for sure. Getting the opportunity to go to war with my brother’s  weekly man you can’t beat that.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

The most underrated player I’ve played with would have to be Deyton Jackson. He was one of the best receivers I’ve ever seen play in person. I just wish he would have gotten a chance to show it on the field.
