Player Summary:

RS SR WR who plays in the Air Raid Offense of WAST. He has poor height and weight with adequate speed and a slender build. He is an average athlete showing a combination of good COD, average explosiveness, acceleration, lateral quickness and agility and adequate balance with solid top end play speed. Began college career at CARD then transferred to NVUN as a walk-on. After redshirting in 2018 at NVUN, he transferred, playing the 2019 season at CAEL. He then transferred to TXIW where he played 2 seasons before finally transferring to WAST prior to the 2022 season. He is quick off the LOS and exhibits good FBI while reading the coverage and finds the soft spot in zone while showing solid hip fluidity as he breaks off his stem. He shows solid hands exhibiting a decent catch radius that enables him to possess the manual dexterity needed to make the catch with his hands close to his body. After the catch, he shows above-average contact balance as he breaks tackles from DB and LB with subpar explosiveness before picking up a first down. He is very good at working his way back to the QB when the play breaks down. He exhibits good mental toughness and heart with solid UOH in his placement and timing while showing the willingness to block DB and LB with solid size. He is above average as a returner on special teams as he averaged 10.7 yds per punt return in ‘22. His average AA prevents him from separating against off-man when going against Nickel CB with good FBI who can read his hips and solid play speed especially on vertical routes. Against press coverage, his poor size and adequate play strength causes him to be re-routed by DB with good length and physical toughness. Lack of quality play speed prevents him from gaining significant YAC consistently against DB with good AA and form tackling ability. He is marginal in contested catch situations due to him struggling to high point the ball and box out DB with good size and play strength. Ordinary play strength causes him to struggle to consistently maintain his block against DB with good size, length and UOH.

Scheme Fit:

Return Specialist who could also play as a slot WR against a zone heavy defense.

Power Statement:

Intelligent, mentally tough, reliable WR. His poor size and below-average ability to separate against DB with good AA and play speed would limit his production as an NFL WR but his solid ability as a returner would help him land a spot on special teams.
