What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Honestly I think it was an organic passion playing with the older kids at recess at 7 years old and I was watching an Ohio State-Michigan game and it became something I just really wanted to do.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
October 2019, I was in JUCO and we played the number 3 ranked team in the country and I went on a go route on the number 1 cornerback in the country and a safety and I caught the contested catch for a touchdown over 2 people.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
Just to get better and see how I compete as a professional going forward.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day who and why?
Terrell Owens, because he is my all time favorite receiver and I emulate his game and watching his documentaries I would love to learn from him as a player on and off the field.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My dad, because my dad has persevered in his life to have kids and make sacrifices to achieve our goals and dreams so that’s why he inspires me.
What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?
Spread, because it’s an indicator of throwing the ball and as a receiver I love running routes and catching balls and it’s also a great scheme to block for the running backs as well.
What should we know about Josh Okechukwu the person?
I’m a man of faith, I’m very determined and a fun guy to be around and I’m very passionate about my life.
What stands out about your film the most?
Basically just a very physical, dominant guy that has very good athleticism.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
When it comes to life I turn to my faith and I believe adversity makes you better and when it comes to football you just fight through it.
What would a team get in a player like you?
Very hardworking, very intelligent when learning new systems and just a guy who loves to be out there and enjoys the game.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
It’s just a competitive sport to play and I love that.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
Chance Fuller who is my quarterback, and I’ll just because we aren’t on the biggest stage and he’s really talented.
