Former Buffalo Bill Justin Bannan sentenced to 16 years in prison for attempted murder

Justin Bannan the former Buffalo Bills draft pick was just sentenced to 16 years in prison for attempted murder.

According to the police report, Bannan claimed he was hiding from the Russian mafia when he knocked on Marie’s door. Police records also stated that the football player had remnants of cocaine on a rolled-up $20 bill in his pocket. 

His defense team tried to claim Bannan suffered from concussions and other head trauma playing football but the jury was not buying it.

Prosecutors claimed Bannan was not insane but heavily intoxicated the night of the incident.

The 12-year NFL veteran was found guilty on four counts, the most serious of which – attempted murder – carried a range of between 16 and 48 years in state prison.
