University of Indianapolis football player Koebe Clopton shot and killed

Koebe Clopton was a junior wide receiver from the University of Indianapolis. The 20-year old was killed on Thursday when he was shot in Indianapolis.

According to police reports, officers were found a man “who sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound,” police said. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died shortly after arrival.

Clopton was a junior at UIndy, where he was a member of the football team. The University of Indy President released this statement.

“We are a close-knit community and we are devastated by the loss of Koebe, who was a member of our UIndy family. This loss reminds us of how precious life is and the importance of supporting each other through times of unexpected tragedy,” UIndy President Robert Manuel said in a statement.

We wanted to play a little clip of Koebe from his Hudl Account to remember him. Please keep his family, friends and teammates in your prayers. Rest in Peace.
