Breaking: Carolina Panthers have signed former South Dakota State FB Mikey Daniel
We are learning that the Carolina Panthers have found a fullback! The Panthers worked out Mikey Daniel the former South Dakota State full back this morning and decided to sign him to a contract.
Daniel will be the replacement of fellow small school full back Alex Armah who signed with the Saints in the off-season.
The former South Dakota State fullback was considered a top full back in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was in camp with the Atlanta Falcons last year and is a big and versatile player.
The 6’1, 240 pound full back had 30 touchdowns for the Jackrabbits in college. He would end up going undrafted and getting signed by the Falcons. He has no playing experience in the NFL, but he can play.
Daniel totaled 1,728 rushing yards and 30 total touchdowns for the Jackrabbits from 2016-2019. Watching his film, you’ll quickly notice his best attributes are his powerful running, tremendous pass protection and athletic ability.
