Fantasy Football: Rookie Recap, which rookie had the best performances week 1

Football is here, and yesterday there were some pretty solid rookie performances. Find out which players dominated in our Rookie Recap Series for week 1. I wanted to give the players a shout-out for their games over the weekend and let’s see if there were any surprise performances. These players maybe available in your fantasy leagues, so make sure you are looking over the waiver wire in your leagues.
Quarterback
Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals – Joe was the only rookie quarterback to play yesterday, but he held his own. The Bengals were in the game all the way until the end. Unfortunately, they could not get the “W”. Burrow finished the day with 193 passing yards and one interception. He did add a rushing touchdown from about thirty yards out, but at this point I would leave Joe on the bench in your league.
Running Back
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs – He is your leading rusher after the weekends games. The rookie from LSU was a beast for the Chiefs and they really relied on him heavily in the fourth quarter to run out the clock. Edwards-Helaire has 138 yards rushing and 1 rushing touchdown.
Wide Receiver
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Dallas Cowboys – Last night, CeeDee Lamb looked great, I wish Dak would have given him the ball a few more times. He finished the game with 5 receptions for 59 yards. He did not find pay dirt, but he looked really good running routes.
Linebacker
Patrick Queen, LB, Baltimore Ravens – I know he is a defender, but if you are in a league that you need to pick individual leaders, Queen had a solid game against the Browns. He finished the game with 8 tackles including a sack.
L’Jarius Sneed, DB, Kansas City Chiefs – Sneed had a pick this week, only he and C.J. Henderson of the Jaguars came away with a pick as rookies. Sneed will get playing time with Charvarius Ward getting injured. He may be a good depth adding if you need defensive backs.
