Martellus Bennett the former Bears tight end was just on ESPN’s “E:60”, ripping his former teammates. The Patriots pass catcher did not hold back. he went hard and really laid into his former friends and brothers.
“We just had a bunch of [expletives] on the roster,” Bennett said, according to CBS Chicago. “That’s why we didn’t win games, and coaches liked the [expletives].”
He went off on Jay Cutler too:
“Some guys that you want to be the leader; that’s not the guy that’s a leader,” Bennett said. “Everyone in the locker room knows that this is not the leader, but this is what you want the face of the team to look like.”
Bennett looks to be right. Brian Hoyer is looking pretty good in a Bears uniform, and has the players and team looking past Jay Cutler.
