Tony Romo’s father does not believe his son is a Hall of Famer just yet; He is missing something
Tony Romo has had a pretty amazing career in the NFL considering he was an undrafted quarterback from a small FCS school in Eastern Illinois. When his father Ramiro was asked whether he thought his son was a Hall of Famer, he quickly said he believes in his son’s abilities, but said he is missing one thing.
“I do believe that winning the Super Bowl is absolutely necessary,” Ramiro Romo told madison.com at his son’s football came in Burlington, Wisc. “But that being said, there’s people who have never won the Super Bowl who have ended up in the Hall of Fame. That’s for somebody else to decide. That’s too far out in the future to even think about.”
Romo responded to his Father’s comments on the website:
“I don’t think of those things,” Romo told the website. “My job, honestly, is to get our football team in a position to win a championship. That’s really the obvious goal. If you do something like that, a lot of other things open up to you, but you don’t put your mindset at any of that stuff.
“You’ve just got to play the game. And I think if you play at a high enough level, things just happen.”
