The Chicago Bears have signed defensive lineman Akiem Hicks to a two year deal according to Brad Biggs. Hicks, 26, was traded to the Patriots in return for TE Michael Hoomanawanui back in September of last year. He played out his contract and was among the best available free agents.

Bears have added three defensive players in the start of free agency. The team has signed both Jerrell Freeman and Danny Trevathan. It looks like the Bears are trying to get their defense back biting.
