Former FCS coach Darren Rizzi promoted to assistant head coach for Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins won a game this year because of their special teams play and the return of Jarvis Landry. Well now their special teams coordinator has been promoted to assistant head coach.
The team announced that special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has been promoted to assistant head coach/special teams coordinator. He’s in his fifth year coaching their special teams, and joined them as an assistant special teams coach in 2009.
Rizzi was the head coach for four years at the University of Rhode Island, and three at the University of New Haven, with a stint as an assistant at Rutgers in between.
