What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2024 NFL Draft?

My size, athleticism, grit and coachability provide me with every opportunity to be great. My commitment to the game, work ethic, and competitiveness will ensure that I get there.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

When I was eight years old, a friend of mine suggested that I sign up to play with the East Ottawa Generals because they were short on players and on the verge of folding. The next day, I got fitted for my pads, joined in on a practice and fell in love with the sport on the spot. I haven’t looked back since.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

They should know that football is my passion and my first love. I have dedicated the last 15+ years of my life to this amazing sport, and I intend on dedicating the next 15+ to it as well. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get where I want to go.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

I would donate to cancer research. I have lost some of my favourite people in the world to this awful disease and I would love to contribute to making sure that no one else has to live through that pain.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.”

To me, this quote represents the duality of adversity. While times may be tough in the moment, the lessons you learn from difficult situations are what help you grow into the best version of yourself.

Who was your childhood hero?

Ed Reed

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

Sheldon Maleek Desir, DL. He has gotten better every season that we’ve played together. His relentless pursuit of being the best football player he can be forces me to up my game and to continue to work on my craft.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

When people are not considerate of others.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life was say goodbye to my grandfather (Papa) over Facetime. Due to the pandemic, the majority of my family and I were not allowed to be with him in the hospital when he passed, so my last words to him came through a phone. That was an unbelievably difficult moment in my life.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you.

Concordia is special to me because they were the only University that gave me a chance. Due to an unfortunate injury, I was not recruited coming out of high school. So, I applied to a handful of universities as a student and once I received admission, I reached out to each of their respective football programs, asking for an opportunity. Concordia was the only school that replied. After starting out as a redshirt walk-on, I eventually worked my way into a starting spot, and I can now proudly say that I am one of the captains of my team.

What is your favourite snack food?

Healthy option: Greek yogurt with frozen berries and honey

Unhealthy option: Doritos

What is the best part of football?

It is hard to pick just one but the first thing that comes to mind is the unbreakable bonds that are forged on and off the field with your teammates. Individual accomplishments are cool but nothing compares to sharing a walk-off touchdown or unlikely comeback victory with the guys who were with you every step of the way.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I am a resilient, hardworking, and goal-oriented individual who will do whatever it takes to realize my dreams.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

I would have to say, Lane Johnson. As much as I can, I like to pull pieces from his game and add them to my own. He’s strong, athletic, uses great technique and has a mean streak which is essential for any offensive lineman.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. Rick Rubin – I am a big music lover and I think it would be fascinating to learn more about his influence over the music industry and his unique creative perspective firsthand.
  2. Kobe Bryant – No celebrity’s death has impacted me more than the passing of the Black Mamba. His work ethic is a thing of legend and he was and continues to be an inspiration to so many. It would be an honour to have a conversation with him not only as an athlete but as a person.
  3. My Uncle Rob – I lost my uncle to cancer when I was just ten years old and I have always felt that he had so much wisdom that he never got to impart on me. He was always the life of the party and could put a smile on just about anyone’s face.
