Falcons have placed Paul Soliai on the I/R; Team promoted TE D.J. Tialavea
Today the Atlanta Falcons placed nose tackle Paul Soliai on injured reserve with a calf injury, ending his season. Soliai left Sunday’s 20-13 win over Carolina with the injury and again slowly limped off the field after returning to the game.
Soliai finished the year with 22 tackles and one fumble recovery in 14 games. He signed a five-year contract with Atlanta as a free agent before the 2014 season following seven years with the Dolphins.
The Falcons promoted tight end D.J. Tialavea in a corresponding move.
