Will Johnny Manziel have a longer NFL career than Tim Tebow?

johnny manzielTim Tebow and Johnny Manziel both had amazing college football careers, going on to winning Heisman Trophies, and both were considered winners in college.  Both of these quarterbacks were drafted in the first round by teams who were desperate at the quarterback position and both had media attention like no other.

While they sound like the same type of person they are far from it.  It is like the Good v. Evil quarterback.  Tim Tebow was highly criticized because of his religious beliefs and politeness, and Johnny Manziel was criticized for his partying and arrogance.  Well both of them might have one more thing in common soon.

They both might be unemployed.  Tim Tebow was released by the New York Jets after playing fullback and special teams. Tebow did however have success in the NFL, just ask the Steelers whom he beat in the playoffs in his rookie year.  Tebow might not have had an orthodox style, but he proved he was a winner even in the NFL, but the media circus ultimately ran him out of town in Denver.

Manziel on the other hand has been in trouble, and is currently in a rehab center.  The Browns were forced to sign Josh McCown a 35 year old aging veteran who has never started a complete season, and they gave him a contract for three years where he can earn up to 20.5 million dollars with 6 million guaranteed.  What does that mean?  That means they intend to start McCown, which is probably a safe bet, but does that mean the team is  ready to move on from Johnny Football?

The Browns have voiced displeasure with Manziel but they also say they support him for entering the rehab facility.  I do not know what the Browns will do, but when Manziel did take over as the starter in Cleveland he looked far from good.  The Browns will be faced with a tough decision soon, but do you think Manziel will have a longer career than Tebow?
