Brendan Sorsby announces he enter the 2027 NFL Draft and accepts responsibility for gambling

The NFL Players Association and quarterback Brendan Sorsby have decided not to pursue legal action following the NFL’s decision to forgo holding a supplemental draft this year, according to a league memo distributed to all 32 teams.
Instead, Sorsby will turn his attention toward preparing for the 2027 NFL Draft.
“We have confirmed with the NFLPA and Brendan Sorsby that there will be no further litigation regarding his entry into the NFL,” the memo states. “Mr. Sorsby will instead focus on his preparation for entry into the League through the 2027 NFL Draft. Under League and Collective Bargaining Agreement rules, Mr. Sorsby will be considered a draft-eligible player for the 2027 NFL Draft. He will not be eligible to sign an NFL player contract until the completion of the 2027 NFL Draft.”
