What makes you a top prospect at your position in the 2027 NFL Draft

I think what separates me is consistency and preparation. I take pride in doing the small things right every rep—alignment, assignment, effort. I study film like a pro already, so I’m not reacting, I’m anticipating. Physically I trust my ability, but what makes me a top prospect is that coaches can depend on me to execute and elevate the guys around me every day.

Tell me about a time you faced adversity and how you responded?

September 13th, 2021, my step mother passed away from covid as she was put on a breathing tank to try and help her breathe. It was a Monday and game week week four vs Lubbock-Cooper HS. I could have decided not to play that week but I felt the need and heard her voice speak to me to just score once for her in her memory as her favorite number was six; which also was my jersey number. The following week was her funeral which also was the same day as our homecoming game versus Lubbock High. I was struggling mentally but all of it left once I stepped on that green turf. I proceeded to score the game’s first touchdown and exit the first half with five touches for 208 and three total touchdowns. If that isn’t battling adversity, I don’t know what is.

What are your hobbies outside of football?

Since the age of three, I’ve been self taught in playing the drums which I picked up during my time as a pastor’s kid. I’ve played both the drums and piano for my dads church and other congregations as well. I love listening to music as well everyday. I’m also a big gamer. Call of Duty, R6, CFB, 2K you name it, I’m on it!

What role do you see yourself playing at the next level?

I’m ready to contribute however a team needs me—special teams, rotational, or starting. My mindset is to earn trust first. Once coaches trust you, your role grows. I just want to come in, compete, and help a team win by becoming one within the BROTHERHOOD.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

I’d support programs that give opportunities to kids in underserved communities—especially through sports and education. I know how much having structure and mentorship can change someone’s path. Having to live in a similar situation in my younger lifetime helped me realize this world isn’t easy to be in.

How do you handle coaching, especially criticism or being corrected repeatedly?

I welcome it. Coaching is how you improve. If a coach is correcting me repeatedly, that tells me I need to fix it faster. I’d rather get yelled at rather than the coach be silent to me; those actions turn me up a little more. I take accountability, ask questions if I need clarity, and make sure the mistake doesn’t show up again on film.

Who is the most underrated teammate at your school?

Sean Medcalfe. He does all the little things—preparation, effort, consistency—that don’t always show up in stats. Every team needs guys like that to win.

If you could have dinner with three people, dead or alive, who would it be and why did you choose them?

  • Kobe Bryant – Mindset and discipline
  • Barack Obama – Leadership and perspective
  • Martin Luther King Jr. – Wisdom and Sacrifice

If you were benched tomorrow, what would be the most likely reason?

It would come down to me not executing at the standard required. Whether that’s technique, focus, or preparation, I’d own it. And I’d go fix it immediately.

Walk me through your typical pre-game routine?

I keep it consistent—wake up, hydrate, light stretch, review my notes and key tendencies, visualize my assignments, then lock in with music. I do a quick half lap around the field to get my feet and legs comfortable as well. By kickoff, I’ve already seen the game in my head.

What is your favorite snack food?

Cheez-Its

What scheme do you feel you fit the best in?

I feel I fit best in a scheme that lets me play fast and aggressive. Something that values discipline but also lets me use my instincts. I can adjust, but when I’m playing fast, that’s when I’m at my best.

What is your degree in?

Business Management

What would be the first thing you buy with your first NFL check?

The first thing I’d do is take care of my family. It’s a must to supply moms with a house and everything she dreamed of. That’s the key to my heart. After that, I’d save and invest. I understand this is a business and I want to be smart with it.

Describe a time in a game where you feel you made a mistake, and explain how you bounced back?

I had a play where I was going for a flat route on the goaline and thought I wasn’t open and looked back then the ball hit my facemask and dropped with two minutes left in the game. Instead of letting it affect me, I reset, trusted my training, and focused on the next play. Later in the game, I responded with less than a minute left on our own seven, ran inside zone, hit the hole, made one cut, straight to the house!
