What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?
Traditionally on Sundays since I was in fourth grade, my dad and I after church would get pizza and wings and watch the football game. Ever since then I knew I wanted to be a football player.
What are your favorite moments from your football life?
My favorite moments from my football life include the all of the ups and downs that bring us as a brotherhood even closer.
What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?
I’m looking to become the best corner to ever play the game, and earn my way into the Hall of fame.
If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?
If I could hangout with any football player past or present for a day I’d say it would be Walter Payton. I say this because he was the first football player that I became knowledgeable of due to being a Chicago Bears fan, and watching old tape of his play and footwork. This also inspired me to play running back up until my freshman year of high-school.
Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?
My grandfather before his passing inspired me the most. He inspired/ inspires me because up until his passing he was a man of commitment and passion about his craft and that’s exactly how I want to be as a man.
What is your favorite defensive scheme and why?
My favorite defensive scheme is man coverage. I say this because in man coverage as a corner it’s all about who wants it more, and I guarantee that I do.
What should we know about Loren Johnson the person?
As a person it should be known that I’m determined, undeniable, and willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill the dreams that I as a child had and still have now.
What stands out about your film the most?
What stands out about my film the most as a 6’3 190 cornerback is how patient I am when the ball is in the air, my ability to get out of my breaks quickly though I’m an uncommon size as a corner, and the athleticism I show when a play comes my way and I make it.
How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?
I handle challenges in life and on the football field the same. Challenges happen for a reason and I have a choice to let it break me or let it mold me into an even better version of myself that I want to be. I always choose the second option, and use the challenges that are thrown my way as even more of a motive to achieve my dreams of being great on field, and an even better person off of the field.
What would a team get in a player like you?
A team would get a dependable and self sacrificing brother out of me. I would ensure everyday that the man next to me in the field knows that I have his back and he can trust me to do my job, and always put others as well as the team first.
What do you love the most about the game of football?
I love the entire process when it comes to the game of football. I love the preparation that it takes for months and months, and then earning your way to show the work thats been put in for four quarters. I love how hard it is to be great and work towards the goals that a team as well as well as individuals have. I say this because all it does over time is show discipline, and consistency which are two of the biggest key concepts in the game of football.
Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?
The most underrated player I’ve played with is Aditya Singh from Oklahoma Baptist University. I say this because no matter what obstacles lie ahead of him, he’s set in is mind and his heart that he’s going to make it in this game and won’t let any outside factors affect the way he wakes up everyday and puts in the work to make his dreams reality.
