Miami Hurricanes Football Player Arrested & Charged with Three Counts of Vehicular Homicide

Adarius Hayes, a 20-year-old linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes, has turned himself in to authorities in connection with a May car crash that claimed the lives of three people.
Hayes faces three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving causing serious injury. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail on Friday, following an investigation by Largo police.
According to police, Hayes was driving a Dodge Durango at high speed and weaving through traffic on May 10 when he collided with a Kia Soul at the intersection of Ridge Road and Orange View Drive. The crash resulted in the deaths of 10-year-old Jabari Solomon, 4-year-old Charlie Solomon Rivera, and 78-year-old Gail Price.
Investigators say Hayes was traveling at nearly 80 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone just seconds before the crash, a speed that authorities describe as reckless.
Hayes is now in custody at the Pinellas County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings. The tragic crash has drawn significant attention due to the young victims and the severity of the incident.
