The Hula Bowl will be played in Orlando, Florida on January 13th, 2024 and is televised on CBS Sports. The staff at NFL Draft Diamonds has worked for the past three years as the scouting staff for the Hula Bowl, and we are excited to get the 2023-24 season underway. With tons of great football games in the NCAA this week, we wanted to break down several of the Top Performers in the FBS that would have eligibility to play in our game. We are definitely watching, and had scouts at 15 games this week around the country. Let’s break down some of the best performances from week 2.

Sam Hartman, QB, Notre Dame – Hartman had an amazing day against North Carolina State throwing 15/24 for 2286 yards and four touchdowns. Hartman looked like a leader on the field and was very solid. The weather was a factor and he still looked very good.

Marcus Carroll, RB, Georgia State – Two weeks in a row, Carroll has went for over 100 yards and scored three touchdowns. This week against UConn he finished with 24 carries for 107 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is becoming the workhorse back for the Panthers. He looks legit!

Xavier Weaver, WR, Colorado – The former USF wide receiver has been amazing this year for the Buffaloes. This week Weaver exploded for 10 receptions and 170 yards and one touchdown. Weaver was able to exploit the Nebraska defense and looked amazing all game. The Orlando, Florida native is making a big time impact this year!

Laiatu Latu, DE, UCLA – The 6’5 pass rusher for the Bruins has been disruptive all year, and this week he added 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack against San Diego State. Latu’s first step is ridiculous and he looks like a NFL caliber player.

Kamal Hadden, DB, Tennessee – The 6’1 cornerback has been a shutdown corner this year for the Vols. This week against Austin Peay State Hadden finished with three tackles, 3 pass breakups and one interception. He already has 5 PBU’s on the season.
