Wide Receivers Milton Wright and Malachi Wideman are eligible for the Supplemental Draft

Two wide receivers have been deemed eligible for the 2023 Supplemental Draft, which will take place on July 11th, according to sources.
Both Malachi Wideman the former Jackson State wide receiver and Milton Wright the former Purdue wide receiver have been declared eligible.
Wideman is a big boy standing at 6’5 and a dual sport athlete. He played both basketball and football in high school and started his career at Tennessee before transferring to play for Deion Sanders at Jackson State and going off for 12 touchdowns in 2021.
Wright on the other hand is a possession receiver who stands at 6’3 and hauled in 57 receptions for the Boilermakers in 2021. He finished with 7 touchdowns in 2021 but became academically ineligible in 2022.
If a team does in fact select one of the receivers above they would have to give up a pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
So if a team were to place a 5th round pick on the player they would lose their 2024 NFL draft pick at that spot in the upcoming draft.
This is the first supplemental draft since 2019. There have been some pretty solid players selected in the Supplemental Draft. Guys like Cris Carter, Bernie Kosar, and Brian Bosworth are just to name a few.
