Patriots kicker Andy Borregales the Venezuelan born player is working in a warehouse to help his country

New England Patriots kicker Andy Borregales became the first Venezuelan born player to play in the Super Bowl last year, and now he is working to help his country that was slammed with two back to back earthquakes this month.
Borregales and his wife Stephanie, are actively volunteering at a Doral, Florida warehouse to pack emergency supplies for Venezuela.
The Borregales duo partnered with the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), a South Florida-based nonprofit leading ongoing relief distributions across Venezuela.
Andy, who was born in Caracas, stressed the importance of community effort, stating, “If all you can donate is a box of soap. That is enough. Do what you can”.
According to their site: The organization is strictly accepting supplies like emergency kits, hygiene products, batteries, tents, diapers, and nonperishable food items (no clothes or linens).
Aid is actively flown from the GEM warehouse in Doral to staging locations in Venezuela, such as a warehouse in Valencia, to avoid governmental interference.
Borregales made NFL history earlier in the year, and now, he is using that platform to bring visibility and support to his home country as it reels from this catastrophic disaster.
